Start your way to becoming a 2018 Ontario Champion and Canada Champion

Location: Pierre Trudeau High School, 90 Bur Oak Ave, Markham
Age Groups: K-12 (based on 6 players, otherwise group merges)
Registration: Pre-registration and online payment only, should be done online by March 1st. Please check-in by 11:15AM on March,3rd

Tournament begins at: 12PM         5-round Swiss, clocks used if necessary,
Ends around 5:30PM
Half-point byes are available for rounds1-4, please indicate any desired byes on the registration form.
All games will be both CMA and CFC active rated
Prizes: each tournament 1st place gets a trophy
2nd gets a silver medal
3rd gets a bronze medal
In the case of a tie for 1st place, play-offs will be used to determine the winner
Players tied for 2nd and 3rd will all get medals
top 10% in each group will qualify for the 2018 Ontario Chess Challenge
more than 2.5 score in each group will qualify for 2018 Canadian Youth Chess Championship
Prizes/Certificates will be awarded by the mayor of Markham!
Registration: Email of parent; Cell number in case of emergencies; Full name ; player‘s Birthdate ; Existing CFC rating;Current CCYC student or not
Byes requested for round 1-4
Entry Fees: $30 for CCYC students if pre-registered and paid online,
$40 for those who pre-registered and paid on-line before Feb 15th
$50 for those who pre-registered and paid on-line before March 1st
